ABOUT GINA

Originally, this was intended to be a blog about my favorite escape—reading, and the little joys of my reality—knitting, gardening, cooking. While I don’t always have time for my hobbies, I always make time to read.

I am a wife and mother, working full-time and living in Port Saint Lucie, Florida, the same small town where I've lived my entire life.

As a teenager I became a little obsessed with reading and loved V.C. Andrews. I spent that entire summer reading and riding my bike to the library to get more books. As an adult, life got a little too busy for much reading time, until someone handed me Fire Fly Lane by Kristin Hannah. I used it to pass the time at my son's football practice, and I've had a book (or my Kindle) in my hand ever since.

I love the escape a book offers the reader, allowing you to get lost in the story and writing. I will likely always prefer a book with a romantic undertone of some kind, but I'm always pleasantly surprised to find an intriguing story with no romance involved. I love a wide range of genres, and more than anything discovering something new and unexpected.
